George Marshall Sanford - 67

Redding Fire & Emergency Medical Services Company #1  CT - Lieutenant George Marshall Sanford succumbed to unknown medical causes in the driver's seat of the ambulance just as he was about to leave the station in response to a fire call.

From the USFA Firefighters Memorial page: Lieutenant George Marshall Sanford succumbed to unknown medical causes in the driver's seat of the ambulance just as he was about to leave the station in response to a fire call.

Lt. Marshall had served for the Town of Redding for over 50 years. He is survived by his brother Hank Sanford, sister-in-law, niece, and uncle.
