I'm already starting to plan for 2015 and was wondering if there is also going to be a cross country/enduro event also? i'm coming from California and two days of racing would be great.

Sam Gray Hey David. I agree that the quads and bikes race on the same track and I am not really concerned with the track damage. However, to facilitae quads the WPFG guiding group would have to develop quads as an entirely new sport because of the classes... Show more 11 years ago

Hey David.  I  agree that the quads and bikes race on the same track and I am not really concerned with the track damage.  However, to facilitae quads the WPFG guiding group would have to develop quads as an entirely new sport because of the classes involved.  Basically, to be fair they would have to mirror the classes that will be offered for MX, therby doubling the amount of time requred to run at Budds.  There were no quads in NY and as far as I know there has never been a quad event.  The classes are preestablished, so there is no way to know how many will show up for each engine size/age group available.  Therefore, the same classes would have to be established for the quads to be fair to all.  I am sure you can understand.  We really will not be able to have a quad event.  Three years is plenty of time to get on two wheels ;-).  
Where are you coming from?  You must be realtively close because I used to race district 13 hare scrabmbles and I live in Northern VA.  I know of some local riding groups that you can get a bike and start rideing with in the area.  (oh and by the way.. I meant to say Randy Hawkins as the two/four wheel pro.)  Check him out.  He was bad ass on both.  The skills translate well between the two.

Tim Davis Sorry for the delayed post just joined....if I remember correctly there were only 2 quads. I am not for sure if that was race day or the practice day prior....let me look back through my pictures. 11 years ago
