Where and when is the weigh in ?

And are you using electronic body protectors and head guards ?

I arrive on the 25th and i am looking to compete in both Poomsae and Krourgi, i am looking a pairs partner or team event in poomsae if anyone ever 30+ is interested. Must know up to Chonkwon

Robert Hoang I would like to know about the weigh in's as well. I'm not competing in Poomsae, so no need spend the whole day there. NYC2011 was in/out in 15 minutes 8 years ago

I am competing in both the poomsae and Kyruogi, if there is anyone interested in the poomsae and making up a male team or mixed pairs please get back to me.

Sharon Landstreet Hi Peter - I just posted the schedule. Weigh ins - unofficial weigh in (practice scales) will be from 10 am to 12 noon. Official weigh ins will be from 12 to 3 pm. We want to give all athletes a chance to get to opening ceremonies. Sharon 8 years ago

Sharon Landstreet Hi Greg - the weigh ins are Friday afternoon (June 26th) -12 noon to 3 pm. It is at the Reston Hyatt which is the same location for Athlete Accreditation is being held at. I posted in this page. I emailed the information to athletes this week. Sharon 8 years ago

I arrive on the 25th June in the evening. Where and what date is the weigh in taking place for the Taekwondo and what time ?
Also i am travelling alone so will there be coaches available for the Kyorugi event.

I arrive on the 25th evening. Can the gear be inspected on the 26th ok prior to the opening ceremony and if so where is the inspection taking place.
Also can you just wear shorts and a t shirt under the fire kit

Hi Peter,  All good questions..., We are planning the gear inspection during the competitor meeting on June 26th.  This meeting is scheduled for 08:00 a.m. and it will be at the Mall area that is adjacent to the Stair Race Building and Hyatt Hotel.  This will give us plenty of time to discuss items concerning the race.  In conclusion of the meeting I have a walk through planned of the building and stair case so each competitor can see the stairs and understand the race process.  This will give each competitor plenty of time to get to opening ceremonies.  An advantage of the Stair Race is a short Metro Ride to Opening Ceremonies. Yes, on the shorts and t shirt under the fire kit.  I would personally recommend low resistance wear like "under amour" it would help with the resistance of the inner liner against your body.  The reason for the specific rule on gear is so it is compliant and similar in nature for equality among each competitor. So some competitors are not racing in a much lighter more maneuverable type gear.  In the next few weeks I will be sending out more information regarding the race and each of you will get a letter at registration that will detail specific venue info.
