Has anyone been able to find any of the Large Bore photos that the girl was taking at Quatico?

Has anyone shooting large bore received at time to be at the range? Also have any of you got any paperwork for bringing your rifle on base?

Rich Merrell Jon, my understanding is that athlete confirmation letters will go out tonight. Not in control of this so please understand I am only the messenger. You should have already received via the email on file the hold harmless agreement to come on base... Show more 8 years ago

Hey everyone, I've never competed in a rifle match before and I have some questions. I'm reading the rules and looking at pictures of past games. Do I have to have a shooting jacket? Can I clean my bore between stations? I don't have a bipod so can I just use my backpack to rest on like I do when shoot at the range at home? Oh by the way I'm shooting in the 300m prone match. Thanks.

Brett Shewmaker If I understand them correctly you Don't need a shooting jacket and yes you can shoot off a bag. Its sort of a blend off 3 sets of rules that follow close to the international rules. Hope that helps. Thats my understanding anyway. 8 years ago

Jon Sprinkle Thanks, if anyone else that has competed before has any tips or ideas for me I'm all ears. I'm just wanting to do this to compete with my brothers and sisters and not embarrass myself at the same time. 8 years ago

I have a Model 70 Winchester without a bi-pod. When reading the competition rules it looks like I should sign up for F-Class Open Rifle. The rule states that the rifle must be fired from the prone position using rifle rests. Can anyone tell me if simply using a backpack lying on the ground is okay?

Jon Sprinkle Sounds good, thanks! 8 years ago

Rich Merrell Jon, I have an email into the sport coordinator on the point of using a rest and what type. This is another point of conflict in the rules of the WPFG Federation and the NRA & ISSF. We will get a clear answer for you and other athletes. 8 years ago

Rich Merrell Jon, The ICFRA rules will be followed for F-Class shooting and do allow for a bag type rest. Please refer to those rules for information and greater detail. The website for those rules is: icfra.com Loading content, please wait. 8 years ago

I'm looking to shoot in the Bowhunter Freestyle Unlimited 3D competition. I was looking at the checklist in the competition rules and I have a small level vial on the bottom of my sight. Since "level" is not checked in that category will they let me put a piece of tape over it so I can still compete?

Jacques They may accept the tape or take it off to depent the juge 8 years ago

Jon Sprinkle Thanks, I hope they allow me to put some e-tape on it because it's built into my sight. Thanks again. 8 years ago

Jacob Paschall Jon, bowhunter freestyle should be allowed to have a sight level. Typical rules for BHFS are 12" stabilizers, 5 fixed pin sight. I don't know if International rules are different, but I think they are the same. Should be fine with a sight level. 8 years ago

Joseph Wolfe Hi jon, I am Joe Wolfe. I am the current tournament chair for the range responsible for managing the 3D event. The class that you asked about "Bowhunter Freestyle Unlimited" does allow sight levels. There will be range inspectors that I have... Show more 8 years ago
