Hey everyone - As the 2017 WPFG site is being prepared to deploy its community forum, I will post a few tidbits of information here regarding the upcoming Games in Montreal (I hope this is ok with you, Craig!) Yesterday, Montreal's Senior Director of Sites and Competitions sat down with our host lanes for the bowling event (Laurentian Lanes).

There was much discussion about the history of the 'Games; specifically topics related to the bowling event. Montreal's Senior Director has spent a lot of time reviewing the bowling venues of the last few 'Games.

In addition to streamlining the process of proper bracketing and the medal ceremonies, there was discussion about adding 'side venues' to the bowling event: perhaps a bowling clinic conducted by pros (Laurentian Lanes is home to the Canadian Olympic Team's Head Coach Tyrel Rose among many other big name bowlers) and possibly a 'mini non sanctioned tournament' for friends and families of the competitors.

Please feel free to post any innovative suggestions or ideas that you would like to have forwarded to the Montreal committee regarding the bowling event... and looking forward to seeing you in Montreal!
