Dulles SportsPlex (Indoor Soccer)

Dulles Sports Plex sits pretty far off of Atlantic Blvd. Look for the Doubletree Hotel directly across the street from the entrance.

The main entrance to the Dulles Sports Plex complex is on the backside of the building (opposite side of building from Atlantic Blvd). There is parking all around the building, although the main parking lot is in front of the main entrance.

There is a snackbar in the lobby area.

Bathroom / changing rooms are also located in the lobby. There are no lockers. Most players change into their uniforms and put their clothes in a bag which they take to the team bench area with them.

There are three artificial turf indoor soccer fields. Each field has identically built team benches.

There are glass panels installed in the walls which photographers can shoot through, although it might be a little uncomfortable having to squat down.

You can also shoot through the protective netting on the lower level, just shoot as wide open as you can get with your lens right up against the net. Just watch for incoming soccer balls or you might end up with a black eye.

Upstairs there is ample spectator areas for all three soccer fields, with small bleachers. There are a few holes in the netting in various spots that photographers can stick their lenses through....although they will not take anything with a very large front element like a 400 f/2.8.

There is also a practice area located between Field 2 and Field 3

Lighting is mediocre at best. Very High ISO will be required to maintain a shutter speed high enough to freeze action. Show more
