Mountain Bike Race Update: The two broad categories are the age based categories and the elite category. The age based categories will start at 8:00am and the experts will start at 10:00am. We are not offering Clydesdale (> 200#)and Athena (> 170#) as originally indicated in the MTB FAQ.

Drew- you seem to be the person responding to the cycling questions- On the mountain cycling race rules it states that the advanced cyclist should register for the 18+ open category, should we do the same for "street" clycling? In the USPFC they have the usa cycling category 1&2 racers register in the 18+ category. I have sent an email and left 3 messages to get the answers to this question but no response- any one else have any knowledge about this?

Dennis Short As far as I know there are no stipulations for Cat 1&2 level racers having to enter the open category for the street cycling events. I have never seen that in the rules for the World Games. 4 years ago

Karl Povey In Belfast all levels raced together in the Road events, the under forties raced together and the over 40's raced separately irrespective of standard. There were elite riders down to pure novices in the same race. 4 years ago

Does anyone know the start times for the "street" cycling events?

Dennis Short Yes, registration for the cycling events has been extended to June 21st, so we will get those start times posted up no later than June 22nd for everyone. 4 years ago

Bob Winsor I sure hope you don't combine age groups. It was done in Calgary and there was a large crash right after the start. The results of the race were adversely effected by combining the groups. Even if you cull out the different groups for the results,... Show more 4 years ago

Joshua Carling can we assume that all events start at 9am and can be changed accordingly with combination of the events after that? or do they all start at different times everyday 3pm 6pm 2pm? 4 years ago

Jennifer Jackson Sanchez Personally and because I am traveling from far, I hope they do combine fields if turnout is small. If I wanted to ride by myself I would only do time trials. 4 years ago
