As a veteran of public safety, I served 27 years with Fairfax County Fire and Rescue, retiring as a Battalion Chief in September 1997. I have been a public safety information technology and communications consultant for almost 26 years serving fire/EMS, law enforcement, and homeland security. I currently work for the Integrated Justice Information Systems, Institute on the Ashburn, Virginia campus of George Washington University.
