The fact that most people are traveling across the world to be there, should tell you that an 18 mile short sprint is not worth spending that kind of money. In past events the distances were close to 30 miles. Please make the race worth the trip. I... As you can see, we more than doubled the lap distance. Also, I have checked the previous results for the past 10 years of WPFG events and found no evidence of a 30 mile race. Can you please state your source?

I did not comment on the length of each lap. I did comment on the overall length of the race. My " source" fire the 30 mile event is myself. I did comment on the overall length of the race. My " source" fire the 30 mile event is myself. I raced at the 1997 Calgary games and each lap was 7+ miles with a four lap event. There was no " open" category either. I'm not trying to make the work you're doing seem trivial because I know and appreciate every promoter who gives us the opportunity to race Thank you for your efforts

We will use the green and blue loops at Fountainhead for the course. Combining the two loops gives us a total of 6.13 miles per lap of very fun and moderately technical single-track.
- We are going to use the following age groups: Male and Female18-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, and 65+. We will also offer a clydesdale (200 lbs+) and an Athena (170 lbs+) classes. All of these classes will complete 2 laps or 12 miles total.
-- We will start at 9am on Mon July 29, 2015. The open classes will start first then start all other classes in 2-3 minute waves. We may need to combine classes that have lower turnout.
- We will start everyone at the marina. Racers will ride approx .5 miles uphill on the paved road to the entrance of the single-track.
- We will have two rain dates: Rain date 1 – Wed, July 1, 2015 @ 4pm and rain date 2 - Fri, July 3, 2015 @ 4pm. Having a later start will will enable riders to participate in the other cycling events already scheduled for those days.
- Cyclocross or hybrid bikes will not be permitted.
- Projected finish times range from 1.75-2.5 hrs
- We will attempt to get Wicked Wash to support event washing bikes. If they are not available then there will be a bike washing station.
- Race day info email one month before event.
