If any of our competitors or spectators have any photos of the angling event or of the Medal Ceremonies please post them to this site or forward them to me at steve.hajdasz@fairfax2015.com or sphajdasz@gmail.com. I'm sure there are lots of photos out there that would like to be seen by all.

Nice organisation, some participant came from northern ireland, canada, australia and know at the meeting they will not compete WOW!!!! Tell me why you did not send the information of a possibility of missing the sports because you have not enough boaters. We spend only times and money. Who will refund me for hotel and gasoline???? Bravo!!! Belle organisation de broche à foin.

Hey... everyone with storms coming this weekend in that area be prepared for a muddy river. Also those, as myself, who are bringing a rig to the event please be mindful of floaters and debris. Who has fished on the Potomac River before?

Is their a list of mandatory gear we need? Such as, do we need to bring our own weigh bags to transport our catch to the scales, or will those be given out?

Glenn Ross Raymond look to the right of this page and click on Angling FAQ. The first subject that's on the FAQ addresses equipment. I would think that they are providing us with weigh in bags, at least I hope so! Hope this helps! 2 years ago

Any word on the pairings/team assignments?
How many boats?

NEW! We have Sports Handbooks that contain everything you need to know for each of your sports. Just click the link below OR www.fairfax2015.com/handbooks to download today! Please remember that hourly schedules may change so upon accreditation please stop by the sports desk. ENJOY!

Loading content, please wait.

Just to let everyone know.....Once the registration closes I will be sending out notifications for the pairings and team assignments. At this time there are still more non boaters than there are boaters and I am looking for volunteer boat captains so the number of non boaters that will be unable to fish will be minimizes. If you are one of our local competitors who knows someone who is willing to help out have them contact me ASAP.

Mark Belew I'm pretty well connected in the local scene. Can you give me some details on what you're looking for and I'll send out word to the locals. 2 years ago

Landing nets are permitted. Not only for the ease of landing fish, but it makes it safer for the fish and causes less harm.

I received my Athlete Invitation Letter email last night. In this email under the Equipment and Safety it states that landing nets are NOT allowed. But under the rules where I registered, it states that landing nets ARE allowed. I'm sure this is a typo, but can we get clarification? Thank you!

Sarah Beamon Glenn, you are correct. That is a typo and landing nets ARE allowed. 2 years ago

Athletes, you may or may not have received your athlete confirmation letter tonight. As one of the Senior Games Managers and an athlete in the games I received one that was not intended for me (another athlete’s name). Something has happened in the registration software program and the staff here is working through the problem as we speak. Please stand by and they will post a notification once a resolution is found. We apologize for the confusion.

I am currently working on obtaining volunteer boat captains for those extra non boaters who entered the competitions, once registration closes I'll have an idea of how many I need and will try to keep the entrants informed.

Only 27 days before the events. Yeah!!!! How many anglers have register à this time? Is there too much non-boaters for boat available? Have a nice day!!!

Morgan Crawford I have registered as a boater, fishing both days team, and individual. 2 years ago

Good Evening Anglers!! Any plans for Anglers to meet at the Athletes Village? Or have any type of get together?

Hire a suitable boat locally??

Just wondering if anyone is aware of where I would be able to hire a suitable boat at a reasonable price locally to the area that the competition is being held (Fairfax)?
