Looking for some advice about the Shorttrip metro card. I will be staying at the Hyatt Reston and traveling to D.C. For sight seeing, traveling in morning, not sure if rush hour time. Can I use the Short Trip metro card without surcharges? I am looking to buy 7 day unlimited travel pass

Jody Carlson I just looked at the Metro website (www.wmata.com/fares/purchase/passes.cfm), it says the 7-day pass is good for fare up to $3.60. Renee Lawrence SmartTrip Card is your best option, it can be used to ride the fair fax connector bus from/to the Hyatt Reston in addition to use on the Metro. 4 years ago

Debbie Renee, fyi, the Fairfax connector buses are complimentary for anyone showing creds during the days of the event. Still have to pay for metrobus or metro though 4 years ago

Jody Carlson I just thought of something. If you (or anybody else) is planning on riding the Metro on weekends, and you're on a tight schedule, check www.wmata.com for weekend information. Metro often schedules track work for weekends, and trains run less... Show more 4 years ago
