The World Police & Fire Games and Memorial Inc. is a not-for-profit organization that produced the World Police and Fire Games that were created to remember those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001 and to make these games the largest, most memorable sporting event in New York City. The members of this organization are members of the law enforcement and firefighting communities. As many as 20,000 full time firefighters and law enforcement personnel from 70 different countries participate in 69 sports.
