What happened to the July 4 viewing of the Fireworks at the Naiotal Air & Space Annex??

Looking for some advice about the Shorttrip metro card. I will be staying at the Hyatt Reston and traveling to D.C. For sight seeing, traveling in morning, not sure if rush hour time. Can I use the Short Trip metro card without surcharges? I am looking to buy 7 day unlimited travel pass

Renee Lawrence SmartTrip Card is your best option, it can be used to ride the fair fax connector bus from/to the Hyatt Reston in addition to use on the Metro. 8 years ago

Debbie On wmata.com there is a trip planner that will show you the cost of the ride. Using metro it is 5.90 during rush hour and 3.60 outside of rush hour from reston to the Smithsonian metro stop downtown (figured it was a good location to use for this). I'd... Show more 8 years ago

Debbie Renee, fyi, the Fairfax connector buses are complimentary for anyone showing creds during the days of the event. Still have to pay for metrobus or metro though 8 years ago

Jody Carlson I just thought of something. If you (or anybody else) is planning on riding the Metro on weekends, and you're on a tight schedule, check www.wmata.com for weekend information. Metro often schedules track work for weekends, and trains run less... Show more 8 years ago

Craig Luecke Alan Rainville - The only free METRO cards were for the first 350 people attending the National Law Enforcement Memorial service. You will need to purchase the SmarTrip card as normal at the METRO stations using the kiosks. There is no discount... Show more 8 years ago
