Afternoon all:<br /><br />My name is Dan Zimmerman and I'm looking forward to shooting the events with many of you. Imaging has been in my family for many years with my great grandfather starting the first color photo-lithography company in the mid 1930's. My grandfather and father always had a camera in their hands, and it continued on to me. Although not my career, like many of you it is a serious hobby that may turn into a career if it hasn't already.<br /><br />I'm a Nikon guy and my equipment includes Nikon D4 and D700 bodies, Nikkor 50mm/1.4; 105m macro; 24-70mm/f2.8; 70-200mm vrII/2.8 lenses, and 900/910 speedlights with pocket wizard triggers. I'm looking to add a third body and a quality used 300mm or 400mm/2.8 lens to my arsenal.

I'm a retired United States Capitol Police Commander and now primarily full time sports/event photographer. I live very close to most of the venues. I have a Canon 1DX and a Canon 7D. I have a Canon 300mm 2.8 and a extender to make it a 600mm, 70mm-200mm 2.8 II, 24mm-70mm II and a wide angle lens as well. I have (2) 600EX wireless flash, studio lights and LED panels. I can shoot in any environment and at long distances.
