A team from the Dane County (Texas) Sheriff's Department competes in the Police Motorcycle Street competition in a pouring rain. The team must navigate an obstacle course without parting a 36" cord between them. The cord is tied to each motorcycle with two magnets in the center keeping it together. The commercial pier is the northernmost pier.
Photographers should know that the morning sun will be behind them if they are position on the quay or, if possible, the commercial pier. The afternoon sun may pose a challenge, depending upon the time, but a long lens from a position on the quay will solve that.

Matt, I will be going over to photograph the venue at National Harbor in the day or so. That is one of my venues.
Best,
Alan

I think we're supposed to post here.
Venue - Wakefield Park -
Bathrooms - There is one bathroom facility just off the parking lot by Fields 2 and 1. It has a men's room and a ladies' room at the Outdoor Classroom near the ball fields. There are other facilities at the Audrey Moore Recreation Center, but no one seemed to know if the athletes will use/will be permitted to use that facility.
I just got an e-mail from Pete Hocevar. the Opening Manager, at the
Audrey Moore Recenter. He said that...I think we're supposed to post here.

I just got an e-mail from Pete Hocevar. the Opening Manager, at the
Audrey Moore Recenter. He said that participants will have free access to the restrooms at the Outdoor Classroom near the ball fields (see above).
The locker rooms inside Audrey Moore Recenter will be available as well, but require a $2.00 shower fee. (The shower fee does not include use of the saunas in the locker rooms, or any of the other facilities in the RECenter. General Admission for non-county residents is $10.50 per person.) [Updated 1528 19 May 2015]
Food sources - The closest snack machines are at the Rec Center and in the Rec Center parking lot. Vending machines only. There is a 7-11 across Braddock Road from the entrance to the park.
Photography - There are six baseball field, although they are numbered to #8 (There is no #5 or #6). Photography from behind home plate must be done through the chain link fence. There is a low fence around the outfield of Field 1 and a rise in center and right fields. Fields 2, 3, and 4 have high fences, but one can be on the rise (Field 2 - Left Field; Field 3 - Right Field; and Field 4 - Center Field) with a long, zoom lens (300mm or better). Fields 7 and 8 have a six-foot fence around it in the outfield. There is also a rise in Right Field on Field 7 and in Left Field of Field 8.
Incidental -- I'd recommend that photographers have a short ladder for the fields with a high fence. I'd strongly recommend mosquito and tick spray because of the tall grass in close proximity at fields 7 and 8.

I still haven't received any newsletter or information as to where (if) I'm photographing anything. May I please be advised of the current timeline so I know what's going on?
