Hello.

We will compete in the morning or afternoon?
Estimated starting and ending time?

Are there any light weight teams looking for an extra member. I am from Australia and competing in the bench press and push pull in 67.5kg class.

My name is Simon Knechtli I am a Queensland Police Officer from Australia. I will be competing in the 67.5kg Bench Press and Push/Pull. If there is a light weight team needing a member I would love to join. I am 46 years old.

Hi all, I'm Vince, a British cop, now working for the government, I have taken part in the tug of war at the world games in Sweden, Barcelona, Quebec, Vancouver Adelaide and New York, all great competitions. I am sure we will be at the Fairfax Games, the more teams the better the competition.

I would just like to say hello to the group. My name is Carl Dorr and I will be your sports coordinator for the 2015 tug-o-war event. We are in the process of finalizing the rules and locking down a venue site. I will post the information as soon as I have it.

Wouldn't mind joining a tug of war team if a team is short of someone. I'm an Australian police officer. In the light weights team as I'm only 67kg and 46 yrs old. Will be competing in the bench and push/pull also.

Craig Luecke This is the best place to post this! We are about to invite all previous WPFG athletes into this site so get ready! 9 years ago

Hi, I'm Erica, a British Physiotherapist. In Belfast, I seemed to see an awful lot of people who got damaged here before doing any other sport!

Erica Withnell Not sure! They were injured there first! Then went and did their other sports! Several people came in saying it wasn't what they were doing now, but the tug -of-war from the night before! I had no idea it was so violent! 10 years ago

Megan Harper Barr If people had the right form ( as well as the opposing team ie: the other team bouncing on the rope ) there would be no injuries - competed in 2009 and have been on a team since 2006. Only tug of war related injury was when an opposing team... Show more 10 years ago

Erica Withnell That's good to hear Megan. It didn't seem a particularly brutal sport. I don't know why so many people complained of minor injuries 10 years ago

Megan Harper Barr It isn't brutal but it does take a lot more strength and form then most realize. I joined in the beginning thinking it would be easy! I was wrong 10 years ago
