Our operational section, the core of Amsterdam-Amstelland
Fire Brigade, consists of professionals with different systems
of work. Two thirds are full-time fi re personnel and one
third are volunteers. They are part of their own community,
connected to their environment and consequently their
work is based on a strong sense of social responsibility. Their
employers enable them to be a volunteer and to work for our
Brigade.
Over 900 men and women, full-time and volunteers, are on standby
24 hours a day. Ready to respond to every distress call.
They are based at 19 fi re stations, located throughout the
community. Proud of their profession and proud of their
work. Like no other, they share a common reliance and trust:
working together for public safety!
